Do you fancy dating with a difference? If you are disillusioned with the whole online dating world and would like to get out and meet actual real hoomans, then join us for an Alpaca Speed Dating Trek, followed by a lovely Sunday lunch at a cosy country pub. If you don't find love then you will definitely make some new friends and have an experience to remember all in the company of some quirky creatures (the alpacas not the potential dates - but then again we can't make any promises!).

How does it work?

Each experience can accommodate up to 12 singles with 6 ladies and 6 gents. You will be met on arrival and introduced to your fellow trekkers, both hooman and alpaca ones. We start with a safety briefing and then each lady gets paired up with one gent and one alpaca to start the trek with. Our trek takes us across a picturesque moorland track in Dartmoor National Park and we make our way to the first stop. Here we will swap the couples so you are paired up with someone new and you begin your first speed date  - you will have 5 minutes to get to know your fellow trekker, all whilst you both feed your alpaca some treats and generally try to keep them in check together! You then continue to the next stop with your speed dater and if you didn't get on in that first 5 minutes then you can always chat to your alpaca. The trek continues until we have completed all 6 speed date stops and then we slowly make our way back to the farm. Our experience doesn't end there as we then head over to a 16th century Devonshire pub for a 2 course Sunday Lunch in Lydford village, just one mile away from the farm.

“We had a great time with Helen and her boys. Fulfilled my wish to kiss an Alpaca ðŸ˜Š Helen was very thoughtful and gave us a delightful insight into these gorgeous animals, as well as meeting her pet sheep. Would thoroughly recommend a visit. Can’t wait to have a walk in the spring with you”
