Welcome to Lydford Gorge Alpacas

Hands on Animal Experiences

Nestled on the Western fringe of the Dartmoor National Park and opposite Lydford Gorge, the alpaca boys - Batman, Bubbles, Barney, Penfold, Macca, Mr Sharps and Mr T - are waiting to give you a warm Devon welcome to their home. Spending time with these gentle, curious and affectionate animals will lift your spirits, restore your energy and wellbeing, all whilst breathing in the fresh Dartmoor air. Prepare to have your hearts well and truly stolen!

We offer two immersive experiences in the beautiful Devon countryside with the animals so the only thing you need to do now is decide which one! Our half day Alpaca Trekking experience will have you leading your own alpaca across a picturesque moorland track in Dartmoor National Park. Or choose an Animal Encounter and get a whole exclusive hour just for your group with all of the alpacas and our sweet woolly sheep. Can't decide or looking for a fun and unusual gift? Then you can treat a loved one to some time with these heartbreakers with a gift card which can be redeemed against any experience.

The Alpaca boys TV debut with ITV

6th October, 2020

Bubbles was out with Penfold and Barney filming with Josie Gibson and ITV this week for a feature on the This Morning show. The three boys were very professional and took it all in their stride - no divas here!

Mr T though seemed to be missing in action, he's obviously camera shy...
