The alpaca who shaped this whole business, Joker helped show just how calm and affectionate alpacas could be. Much of the warmth and confidence guests notice in the herd today traces back to him.

Deaf, gentle and deeply relaxed with people, Mr Sharps is known for leaning into fuss and sometimes falling asleep beside guests. He is very often named as a favourite, and once you meet him it is easy to see why.

Born by caesarean and bottle fed, Langford has always done life his own way. Full of character, he marches straight over and shoves his face in to say hello, and while he can be complex, he is sweet, cuddly, and coming on brilliantly.

Langford’s brother, Little Phil is wonderfully dozy, sweet-natured and relaxed. Just as cuddly as Mr Sharps, he is quick to fall asleep on people and is a calm, confident favourite with little children.

Big, goofy and full of presence, Macca has a habit of staring people down as he sizes everyone up. He is not keen on being touched, but loves attention, gives kisses whether invited or not, and is one of the best posers here.

Small and skinny but full of attitude, Jasper is always growling, making noises and barging others out of the way when he wants something. He does not like being touched, but he is confident, comical and always first in line.

Joker’s son, Occy has the same wonderfully relaxed and friendly temperament. Fearless and full of confidence, he chose to be trek leader at just seven months old and still loves to be out front.

Joker’s full brother, Bubbles is one of the standout favourites with visitors and goes everywhere with his bestie Barney. Relaxed and affectionate, he loves water and enjoys sitting close with people.
