Easy to reach, even without a car
It is rare to find somewhere this rural that is also so easy to reach without a car. There is a bus stop right at the end of the drive with links to Okehampton station, Exeter and onward to London, and once here you can walk straight onto the moor or head across to Lydford Gorge opposite.
The accommodation
Forda Forge is a beautifully designed stay for one or two guests, designed to feel peaceful, private and comfortable rather than just practical.
Inside, there is a king or twin bedroom, a well-equipped kitchen, cosy lounge and everything needed for an easy few days away, while outside a private courtyard gives you your own quiet space to relax after a day on Dartmoor.
